Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 2026+ strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead executive workshops to align leadership on emerging technology impacts (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports with actionable recommendations for R&D and product roadmaps
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to identify breakthrough opportunities
- Design and implement ethical innovation guidelines for future-facing technologies
- Mentor junior strategists and cultivate a culture of forward-thinking across the organization
- Present strategic insights to board members and external stakeholders with compelling visual storytelling
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 7+ years in strategy consulting, R&D leadership, or corporate innovation roles
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology impact assessment
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology) and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite executives
- Published thought leadership in foresight or innovation publications preferred
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Studies (e.g., AC/FS, CFCS) strongly desired
- Portfolio demonstrating past strategic foresight projects with measurable outcomes
