Responsibilities
- Architect multi-year innovation roadmaps for 2026+ by synthesizing global tech trends, regulatory shifts, and demographic forecasts
- Lead scenario planning workshops with executive teams to develop contingency strategies for disruptive futures
- Partner with R&D to identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, etc.)
- Develop patent-pending frameworks for measuring organizational future-readiness and adaptability quotients
- Present strategic futures briefings to investors, board members, and industry consortiums
- Establish Horizon's thought leadership through whitepapers, keynotes, and media engagements
- Mentor junior futurists while building a global network of trend analysts and innovation scouts
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Systems Thinking, or related field
- 7+ years in strategy consulting, innovation, or R&D with demonstrated future-shaping impact
- Portfolio of published trend analyses or scenario planning projects for Fortune 500 clients
- Mastery of horizon scanning methodologies (Delphi, STEEP, weak signal analysis)
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI ethics, biotech convergence, etc.)
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex futures into compelling narratives
- Global perspective with fluency in cross-cultural innovation patterns and future anxieties
- Professional certification from Association of Professional Futurists or equivalent
