Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal shifts to forecast 2026+ market landscapes
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product/service prototypes
- Produce scenario-planning models for potential futures and risk mitigation strategies
- Partner with R&D to prioritize breakthrough initiatives with 5-10 year horizons
- Deliver executive briefings on disruptive forces and competitive positioning
- Build an internal foresight framework and cultivate future-focused talent
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology foresight
- Proven track record of translating futuristic insights into commercial outcomes
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Experience working with executive teams in Fortune 500 or high-growth tech environments
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or similar)
