Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and maintain a strategic foresight framework with quarterly scenario planning updates
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype future-facing solutions aligned with long-term vision
- Present future trend briefings to executive stakeholders and industry forums
- Establish cross-functional innovation labs to test future business models
- Author thought leadership publications on emerging paradigm shifts
- Mentor junior futurists through HorizonShift's Future Leaders Program
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or equivalent certification
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and systems thinking methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling capabilities
- Experience with Delphi methodology and technology roadmapping
- Portfolio of published futurist work or strategic foresight projects
