The Role
As a Senior 2D Animator, you will be the master of motion, translating static concepts into dynamic, engaging visual narratives. You will collaborate closely with art directors and developers to ensure that every frame serves the user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute high-quality 2D animations and motion graphics for digital platforms, including web, mobile, and interactive installations.
- Create custom vector assets and illustrations using industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop visual styles, character rigs, and animation loops.
- Optimize animations for performance and responsiveness across various devices and screen sizes.
- Review and critique animations to ensure they meet project timelines, budgets, and creative standards.
- Mentor junior animators and provide constructive feedback to the broader design team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in 2D animation and motion design.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D animation, motion graphics, or a related field.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating expertise in character animation, 2D motion, and visual effects.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, spacing, and easing.
- Experience with rigging tools (e.g., Duik, RoboHand) and scripting (e.g., ExtendScript) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
