Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects for the 2026 World Cup.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and event operations to define project scopes and deliverables.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure contracts align with strategic goals and budget constraints.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to system outages or security breaches during high-traffic events.
- Oversee the deployment of fan engagement technologies, including mobile apps and ticketing systems.
- Report on project health, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership.
- Ensure all projects comply with FIFA standards and local regulations.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, preferably within the technology or large-scale event sector.
- Proven experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and leading diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and network security.
- PMP or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to travel to various host cities as required for project oversight.
