Job Description
We are on the precipice of a computing revolution, and Nexus Future Labs is leading the charge. As we approach the era of 2026, we are seeking a visionary Senior Quantum Systems Engineer to architect the next generation of superconducting qubit processors.
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical physics and practical engineering, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in quantum computing. You will not just be maintaining systems; you will be defining the infrastructure that powers the future of cryptography, drug discovery, and artificial intelligence.
Join a team of world-class physicists and engineers dedicated to solving humanity's most complex problems through quantum supremacy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and development of scalable superconducting quantum processors.
- Design and implement advanced error correction protocols to maintain qubit coherence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum modules into hybrid classical-quantum systems.
- Optimize cryogenic and control electronics for next-generation hardware deployment.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of quantum circuits to ensure fault-tolerant operation.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and research scientists within the R&D division.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterβs degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with a focus on quantum mechanics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in superconducting circuits, microwave engineering, or cryogenics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Qiskit or Cirq.
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms and error correction codes (e.g., surface codes, LDPC).
- Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals or leading high-impact R&D projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
