Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for enterprise-scale applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum algorithm development
- Develop error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Present research findings at IEEE Quantum Computing Symposium and peer-reviewed journals
- Secure $5M+ in government research grants for quantum innovation projects
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface codes, LDPC)
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Track record of leading quantum algorithm implementations for real-world problems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
- Validated ability to secure government research funding
