Your insights will directly influence multi-billion dollar investment decisions and product development lifecycles spanning 5-10 years.
Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends, market disruptions, and sociocultural shifts to develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate futuristic scenarios into product roadmaps and R&D priorities
- Author high-impact trend reports and scenario-planning documents for executive stakeholders and investors
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, government labs, and startups to access cutting-edge innovations
- Develop patent strategies and intellectual property portfolios for breakthrough technologies
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal future intelligence network across departments
- Present strategic recommendations to the board of directors and industry thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or technology consulting with Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of successfully predicting and commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, Business Strategy, or related field
- Exceptional data synthesis and scenario-planning expertise using tools like Horizon Scanning and Delphi Method
- Deep understanding of global tech policy, regulatory landscapes, and ethical implications of exponential technologies
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications (e.g., MIT Tech Review, HBR)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or Oxford Foresight Programme)
