Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum computing, neural interfaces, and synthetic biology
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to align on future product visions
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends and assess their commercial viability
- Present future scenarios to C-suite executives and board members using immersive storytelling techniques
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs at the bleeding edge of innovation
- Author thought leadership publications and patents in emerging technology domains
- Mentor junior futurists and drive continuous improvement in foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating complex technological concepts into business value
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to inspire diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MS/MBA/PhD preferred)
- Experience with scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or technology roadmaps
- Fluency in data visualization tools and strategic foresight frameworks
