Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026
- Develop comprehensive innovation roadmaps with measurable milestones for quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable tech
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives to align strategic vision with market opportunities
- Author thought leadership publications on future scenarios and their business implications
- Manage a portfolio of moonshot projects with $10M+ R&D budgets
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and global innovation hubs
- Present future scenarios to investors and board members to secure funding
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or R&D leadership
- Expertise in emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, biotech, climate tech)
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products/services
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Experience managing cross-cultural, distributed innovation teams
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi)
- Portfolio demonstrating scenario planning and strategic foresight projects
