Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into actionable innovation pipelines
- Author quarterly Future State Briefs for executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and global innovation hubs
- Quantify market opportunities in emerging sectors (e.g., neurotech, climate AI, space commercialization)
- Present future scenarios to investors and clients at premier industry conferences
- Mentor junior futurists using proprietary FutureCast methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published work in peer-reviewed futurist journals (e.g., Future Studies Quarterly)
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (portfolio required)
- Expertise in quantitative trend modeling using tools like Gartner Hype Cycle and Delphi methodology
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight from ACFC or similar body
- Exceptional storytelling abilities for complex future scenarios
