Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Technology Horizon Scan, identifying paradigm-shifting innovations across 15+ sectors
- Lead scenario-planning workshops with C-suite executives to prepare for 2026 market disruptions
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces published in MIT Technology Review and Future World Forum
- Design predictive models using quantum computing to simulate long-term socio-technological impacts
- Manage a $5M R&D portfolio for 2026-viable technologies including neurointerfaces and climate adaptation systems
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Represent Horizon Labs at global summits including Davos 2026 and World Futures Forum
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related field with 10+ years of strategic foresight experience
- Proven track record of predicting market shifts (demonstrated via public forecasts from 2018-2023)
- Expertise in quantum computing applications and probabilistic modeling for long-range forecasting
- Published author in peer-reviewed futures journals or equivalent thought leadership
- Fluency in Mandarin, Arabic, and Spanish for global stakeholder engagement
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams of 20+ professionals across 5+ countries
- Professional certification from Association of Professional Futurists (APF) required
