Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support the 2026 event ecosystem.
- Data Modeling: Develop complex data models and schemas that optimize for performance and data integrity across distributed systems.
- Optimization: Monitor system performance and optimize query speeds to handle high-volume, real-time data ingestion.
- Collaboration: Partner with data scientists and product managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Security: Implement strict data governance and security protocols to protect sensitive event data.
- Innovation: Research and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., streaming analytics, cloud-native architectures) to future-proof our infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, preferably within the tech or events industry.
- Stack: Proficiency in Python, Spark, Kafka, and SQL.
- Cloud: Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system failures and drive technical solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
