Key Responsibilities
- Architect 2D Rendering Pipelines: Design and implement robust 2D graphics engines using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL for high-performance data visualization.
- Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize rendering performance to ensure 60fps interactions on complex interactive maps and charts.
- Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensure seamless rendering across diverse browsers and devices, including mobile and tablet form factors.
- Collaborative Design: Partner with UX/UI designers to translate complex data into intuitive, beautiful visual experiences.
- Code Quality & Standards: Establish and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and drive technical debt reduction.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in 2D web development and frontend engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Graphics Proficiency: Deep understanding of HTML5 Canvas API, SVG, WebGL, or Pixi.js/Three.js (for 2D contexts).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of solving complex performance bottlenecks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build high-performance 2D rendering engines using HTML5 Canvas and WebGL.
- Optimize rendering pipelines to handle large datasets (millions of points) efficiently.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement pixel-perfect interactive visualizations.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct technical code reviews.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design for mobile devices.
- Stay current with emerging web graphics standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in 2D web development and frontend engineering.
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Strong proficiency in HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL (Pixi.js or Three.js preferred).
- Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
