Responsibilities
- 2D Rendering Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance 2D rendering engines using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL (2D context) to ensure smooth 60fps animations.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize rendering pipelines to minimize latency and maximize battery life, ensuring seamless performance on mobile and desktop devices.
- Interactive Tool Development: Build complex interactive data visualization tools, mapping applications, and game-like web experiences that engage users.
- Collaborative Design: Partner closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, accessible 2D interfaces.
- Code Quality & Mentorship: Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code while mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
- Technical Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, exploring new libraries and techniques (e.g., PixiJS, Phaser, Three.js 2D) to enhance our technical stack.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in web development with a specific focus on 2D graphics, animations, and interactive tools.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Graphics Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Canvas API, SVG manipulation, and the Web Graphics API (WebGL).
- Performance: Proven track record of optimizing rendering performance and reducing bundle sizes.
- Tools: Proficiency with version control (Git), build tools (Webpack/Vite), and design prototyping tools (Figma).
