Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, providing a positive first impression.
- Assist customers in locating products, providing detailed product knowledge and recommendations.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Operate the cash register, handle returns and exchanges, and maintain accurate drawer counts.
- Uphold high standards of store cleanliness and visual merchandising to ensure a professional shopping environment.
- Build rapport with repeat customers to foster loyalty and drive repeat business.
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse customers.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, particularly for weekend shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic proficiency with computers and POS systems.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new sales techniques.
