Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum applications for finance and pharmaceuticals
- Publish breakthrough research in collaboration with MIT and Caltech partners
- Secure government grants and corporate partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with superconducting qubits
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and circuit optimization
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Strong background in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE)
