Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototyping quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Secure $5M+ in DoD and NSF grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics or Computer Science with 5+ years of research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using Qiskit or Cirq frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing models
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum applications
