Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and simulation applications
- Lead experiments with superconducting qubits and photonic systems at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with AI specialists to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum mechanics principles
- Secure patents for novel quantum hardware architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency with low-level hardware control systems and cryogenic engineering
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience securing government or corporate quantum computing grants
