Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize quantum algorithms for error correction and computational acceleration
- Design and execute quantum circuit simulations on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications for novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to cross-functional project roadmaps
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum networks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences/journals
- Experience with cryogenic measurement systems and RF control electronics
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaborations
