Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in quantum computing research grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for facility access
