What You'll Accomplish: Design fault-tolerant quantum systems, publish in Nature/Science journals, and lead projects with $50M+ research budgets. Work in our state-of-the-art lab equipped with 128-qubit processors and cryogenic control systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing quantum algorithms on real hardware
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications annually in top-tier journals
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize quantum solutions
- Mentor PhD researchers and organize international quantum symposia
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review X
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity theory (BQP, QMA)
- Clearance for DOE/NIST classified research projects
- Experience securing federal research grants
