Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical 2026 applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software integration projects
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and secure IP patents
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Partner with industry leaders to commercialize quantum solutions
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
- Secure $2M+ in government and private quantum research funding
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published record in quantum algorithm development (Nature/Science preferred)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven success in securing quantum research grants (>$500K)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in cryptography or machine learning
- Leadership in at least one quantum open-source project
