Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era and fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on hybrid quantum-classical architectures
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to optimize quantum machine learning frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent disclosures for quantum innovations
- Design error mitigation strategies for 1000+ qubit systems
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Participate in cross-lab quantum security initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
