Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization and simulation
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure NSF/NIH grants for 2026-era quantum applications
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop patentable intellectual property in quantum cryptography and secure communication protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Demonstrated ability to secure $1M+ in government research funding
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
