Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors at 99.9% fidelity
- Author patents and peer-reviewed publications on quantum error correction
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum machine learning techniques
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum initiatives
- Present findings at global quantum summits (IEEE, Q2B)
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design next-gen quantum chips
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion systems
- Proven track record of translating theory to practical applications
- Security clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
