Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Publish 2-3 high-impact research papers annually in top-tier journals
- Secure $1M+ in government grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum computing research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ) and quantum cloud services
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
