Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and conference proceedings
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction protocols
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
- Secure competitive research grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity analysis
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and statistical mechanics
- Publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion architectures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced research environments
