Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing architectures on prototype systems
- Develop error correction techniques to enhance qubit coherence and fidelity
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact quantum research
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware limitations and mitigation strategies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate theoretical concepts to practical implementations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
