Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for exponential speedup in optimization problems
- Lead R&D in quantum error correction techniques achieving 99.9% qubit fidelity
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for machine learning acceleration
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into executable quantum circuits
- Secure 2-3 patents annually and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing protocols for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record of fault-tolerant quantum system design
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Ability to secure government/industry research grants
