Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead research initiatives in fault-tolerant quantum computing and error correction
- Develop quantum simulation frameworks for material science and drug discovery
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure patents and intellectual property for breakthrough innovations
- Partner with government agencies and Fortune 500 companies on quantum adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with published peer-reviewed papers
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
