Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected quantum systems with >99.9% fidelity thresholds
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical infrastructure
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $2M+ in quantum computing grants from federal and private sources
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks used by 500+ organizations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum hardware (superconducting/ion trap)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Proficiency in machine learning for quantum error correction
