Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-enhanced machine learning pipelines
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics principles and experimental methodologies
- Secure $5M+ in government grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Physics, PRX Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems (D-Wave, IBM Q)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Track record of securing NSF or DOE quantum research grants
