You'll lead breakthrough projects while mentoring PhD candidates and publishing in Nature Physics.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at 100+ qubit scale
- Develop novel quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for 2026 cybersecurity standards
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor 3+ junior researchers and publish 2+ papers annually
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Davos Tech Summit
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with superconducting or photonic systems
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review X)
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing clusters
- Experience securing DoD or NSF research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Fluency in quantum circuit optimization and compilation
