Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in next-gen quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in prototype hardware development
- Collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 100 partners on classified quantum security initiatives
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction methodologies
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance computing frameworks
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Familiarity with quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped-ion, photonic)
- Clearance eligibility for government-funded quantum research projects
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
