Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and AI optimization
- Lead prototype development of superconducting quantum processors at 15-millikelvin temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate decoherence and error correction challenges
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journal
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DoD quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD interns from MIT, Caltech, and ETH Zurich
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in low-temperature cryogenic systems and RF pulse engineering
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Experience with quantum machine learning models (QNNs, QAOA)
- Clearance for DoD quantum security projects (or ability to obtain)
