Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using real hardware
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum machine learning applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum simulation frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
