Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and top conferences
- Develop patentable quantum IP with commercial applications by 2026
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $1M+ in external research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with cryogenic systems or superconducting circuits
- Proven track record of securing research funding
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
