Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using proprietary hardware
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams on quantum-machine learning hybrid models
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2023)
- 3+ years experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or custom quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum Shannon theory and quantum complexity classes
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and RF control systems
- Strong background in topological materials or Majorana fermions
