Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error mitigation protocols for near-term quantum processors
- Lead research publications in top-tier quantum computing journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical applications for finance and materials science
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures and parallelization
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental results
