Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing prototypes using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum innovations into commercial solutions
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at global quantum conferences
- Secure and manage federal research grants in partnership with DARPA and NSF
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Expertise in quantum annealing or NISQ-era systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
