Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting qubits and ion-trap platforms
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit designs for next-generation processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DoD, and private foundations
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 3+ years postdoctoral research
- Published work in Nature/Science/Physical Review X on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum mechanics
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Patent portfolio in quantum computing or related fields preferred
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary research teams
