Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and cryptography
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence times
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DoD quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and assembly-level quantum circuit optimization
- Demonstrated success in securing government research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor interfaces
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Certification in quantum security protocols (QKD, QKD+)
