Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA for 2026-focused initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop roadmaps for quantum supremacy in enterprise applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing publications
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or other quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence
- Track record of translating quantum theory into scalable implementations
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DARPA preferred)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary research teams
