Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at major quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development
- Partner with industry clients to deploy quantum solutions for real-world challenges
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 3+ years of research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong foundation in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and complexity theory
- Track record of publications in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Expertise in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical projects
- Passion for ethical quantum development and security principles
