Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations and qubit stability
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF, DARPA, and private quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical Python/C++
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum information theory and many-body quantum systems
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
