Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead experiments on 50+ qubit quantum processors to optimize error correction
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with product teams to translate research into market-ready technologies
- Secure $1M+ in research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive lab innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Experience securing government research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum-mechanical principles and decoherence
