Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with enhanced error correction
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from government and private entities
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum computing curricula for internal training
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral research
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage complex research projects
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
