Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Optimize quantum machine learning models for enterprise-scale deployment
- Secure $2M+ in DOE/NIST grant funding for quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns from UT Austin's Quantum Information Center
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum annealing systems
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks
- Strong track record of translating theoretical models to experimental prototypes
- Clearance for DOE Quantum Security Consortium participation
